Don Miller, Associate
Don, with a Ph.D. in Statistics, worked 10 years as an internal consultant with Xerox and IBM, 25 years as a professor at Virginia Commonwealth University and on many occasions as a consultant to various Virginia state agencies. Meetings he attended during this time rarely produced unified, creative responses to difficult or unacknowledged problems. In contrast, more recently, he served as Clerk for Richmond Friends (Quaker) Meeting where he facilitated groups in which a number of extremely challenging and divisive problems led to unanimous, heartfelt solutions. He sees Dynamic Facilitation as the process that predictably produces such outcomes. As a Dynamic Facilitation trainer and facilitator, he helps organizations address difficult issues, discover creative opportunities, and develop trust and cooperation. Don also serves as a board member with the Center for Wise Democracy, a nonprofit organization that supports public Wisdom Councils and Dynamic Facilitation.
