Subject: Re: Four Meetings Four Squares
Hi Jim - wow, this stuff really works!!! I've only used DF once so far - it was with our corp planning team and they're skeptical about everything! It was a four-hour strategy session focused on the same topic we've dealt with the last three years - "why we can't get past "the barriers" to break into a targeted new market." But this time the problem was properly defined (and a big part of the problem is us - the planning team!!!), we discussed hidden agendas, egos, etc., the team renewed their commitment to the strategy and are moving forward with some pretty creative solutions. What fun! We've scheduled two more meetings to continue the process and our CEO is very commited to the DF process I introduced. I think he'll come to one of your classes next year. As the facilitator, I was amazed how quickly we drilled down to the core of the problem (break through) and how the whole team ended up at the same solution! The planning team feedback continues to be very positive!
I learned a lot in facilitating this time and I'm getting more comfortable not knowing where things are going - Jim, you would be proud - and, I had fun using the process! Even more important, DF gets results! Will keep you posted on my next great adventure! Roger
Thanks for letting us share this one Roger!
