NEWS Updated 3/1/06

3/1/06 -- To receive the Dynamic Facilitation Skills newsletter please contact DeAnna Martin.

3/1/06 -- From a Dynamic Facilitation Skills for Emergent Leadership seminar this past week, the folks at the Benton/Franklin Dispute Resolution Center in Washington State have decided to conduct research into how Dynamic Facilitation can be used with (or to replace) the standard mediation process.

3/1/06 -- At a recent Dynamic Facilitation Skills for Emergent Leadership seminar in Portland OR, the group decided to keep meeting, to practice. One of people to contact if you have been to the seminar and want to join that group is Adin Rogovin.

3/1/06 During the recent Portland seminar Christine Valenza, a professional graphic facilitator, captured some of the process on different murals. Fantastic! Check them out.

3/1/06 -- The new traveling version of the Dynamic Facilitation Skills seminars are three days in your area. If you can arrange for ten full-paying people and an adequate meeting facility, why not co-sponsor a public seminar in your area?

3/1/06 -- Because Dynamic Facilitation elicits a quality of thinking and talking known as choice-creating, it makes possible new dimensions of democracy. See the new article on how this can be at www.societysbreakthrough.com/TransftheConv.html

### The Rogue Valley Wisdom Council experiment

The Wisdom Council is a social invention that uses Dynamic Facilitation to create a "We the People" for a city, county, or even a nation. ...

See the streaming video of "Democracy in America" to gain an experience of it. (22 minutes) by Joseph McCormick. The program will begin automatically ... or it can be seen on Real Video at "Democracy in America."

During the weekend of November 15th and 16th about 20 volunteers under the auspices of the Center for Wise Democratic Processes established an experimental version of the Wisdom Council in the Rogue Valley of Oregon. It worked! Joseph McCormick and Pat Spino made a film documentary of it; Emily Reilly, the mayor of Santa Cruz was a turned-on observer; Elliot Shuford from the U. of Oregon was a researcher; Tom Atlee, author of The Tao of Democracy said, "It was an awakening of the People, by the People and for the whole People."
